To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science what representations he has received from the Royal Society of Arts in support of improved access to higher education.

My right hon. Friend has been kept informed of the Royal Society of Arts' initiative in establishing a project under the banner of the Industry Matters Education/Industry Forum, directed by Sir Christopher Ball, to consider the widening of access to higher education. I understand that an interim report is shortly to be published as a basis for further comment and consultation, and that the final report will follow thereafter.
