§ Mr. RogersTo ask the Prime Minister (1) over what period of time the payment for the Tornado aircraft, supplied to the Malaysian Government, is to be spread as specified in the memorandum of understanding signed in September 1988;
(2) why Tornado aircraft were sold to the Royal Malaysian air force at a unit cost of almost £40 million; and what is the unit price for the same aircraft purchased by the RAF;
(3) what knowledge she has of commissions paid in connection with the sale of Tornado aircraft to the Malaysian Government to (a) Prime Minister Maliativ Mohammed's Umno Bary party, (b) the Sultan of Johore, (c) the Sultan of Pahang and (d) to the ruler of Negri Sembilan.
§ The Prime MinisterContracts have not yet been signed for the sale of Tornados to the Royal Malaysian Air Force. Such contracts would in any event be subject to commercial confidentiality.
