To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what conclusion he has reached following the consideration of the possibility of redeploying 36 Engineer regiment from Maidstone.

My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Defence has reviewed the possible deployment options for 36 Engineer Regiment. Having carefully considered the range of factors involved, he has concluded that the regiment should remain based at Maidstone.
