Whether with reference to Lord Trefgarne's Written Answer on 13th June (Official Report, col. 1415) in their opinion the United States' commitment to NATO depends on the other NATO member states displaying paramount loyalty to the United States.

The United States has consistently demonstrated its commitment to NATO and to the maintenance of our common security. We have no reason to believe that that will change.
