How many male and female prisoners respectively are currently on Rule 43 (i) for their own protection and (ii) for good order and discipline, in each Prison Department region, and what were the equivalent figures 12 months previously.
Earl FerrersThe most recent figures available are for 30th June 1988 and relate to male prisoners only, as Rule 43 statistics for female prisoners are not kept centrally. Figures for 30th June 1987 are not readily available, but the following table gives the equivalent figures for 30th September 1987.
