To ask the Secretary of State for Employment if he will announce the date for the publication of the review of the English tourist authorities; and if he will make a statement.

The tourism review report is still under consideration. A response will be made in due course.

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment when the review on the section 4 aid scheme to the English tourist board will be completed; if he has any proposals for interim funding whilst aid is suspended; and if he will make a statement.

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment what grants were made out of the section 4 aid scheme to the North-West tourist board for the last year that figures are available; and if he will make a statement.

During the financial year 1987–88 the English tourist board made offers of assistance under section 4 of the Development of Tourism Act 1969 totalling £2.062 million to 73 projects in the North-West tourist board area.
