How many Training and Enterprise Councils have received development funding in (i) the North of England and (ii) England as a whole; and when they expect to establish enough of these to cover the whole country.

My right honourable friend the Secretary of State for Employment has announced development funding for five Training and Enterprise Councils in the Training Agency's northern region; they are from senior groups of employers in County Durham, Northumberland, Teesside, Tyneside and Wearside. This completes the total number expected from this region.400WA
Thirty-nine groups of employers throughout England have received approval for development funding. The table below sets them out.
We expect development funding to have been approved for Training and Enterprise Councils covering all of England by summer of next year.
