To ask the Prime Minister if she will make a statement on the objectives of Her Majesty's Government's policy on the European Community.

The Prime Minister

The United Kingdom is an active and committed member of the European Community. We want a prosperous, competitive and united Europe, open to enterprise and so creating more wealth, more jobs and more consumer choice. That is why we strongly support the 1992 programme, and believe it will benefit Britain, the Community, and the world trading system.
