§ Mr. Peter LloydNone at present, but we are continuing to monitor closely the operation of the social fund and have recently commissioned independent research into the extent to which it is meeting its objectives. We have taken a number of steps to improve local awareness and understanding of community care grants and are currently considering what additional measures60W might be taken to improve national information on the scheme. We shall also shortly be issuing revised guidance to social fund officers in the social fund manual.
