§ Ms. HarmanTo ask the Secretary of State for Health if he will publish a list of all National Health Service hospitals(a) closed and (b) agreed for closure each year since 1979, for each regional health authority in England.
§ Mr. FreemanI have placed in the Library a list of all hospitals or facilities approved for total closure for the period 1979—to the end of 1987. Many of these hospitals were closed in conjunction with the opening of new hospitals or facilities in the area.
