§ Mr. SainsburyThe table on page 15 of the "Statement on the Defence Estimates 1988 (Volume 2)" lists United Kingdom-based contractors which were paid £5 million or more by the MoD in 1986–87. Foreign-based contractors which were paid £5 million or more are as listed:
- Aerospatiale SNI (France)
- McDonnell Douglas Corporation (USA)

- Aral Aktiengesellschaft (Germany)
- Hagglund & Soner AB (Sweden)
- The Singer Company (USA)
In accordance with the practice of successive Governments not all United Kingdom-based contractors would qualify for appearance in the published list for security reasons.
