Mr. JacksonDuring my right hon. Friend's visit to the Academy of Sciences in Moscow, he discussed possible collaboration in ecology research with the deputy director, Dr. Frolov. The Government believe it may be possible to intensify working relationships between USSR and United Kingdom institutions in this area, and Dr. Frolov undertook to provide a list of institutions with whom links could be developed. We would be happy to continue, and enhance, scientific collaboration with the USSR provided it is practical, effective, well directed and with clear objectives.
