To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what response he has made to the statement of the nuclear installations inspectorate on operator practices at British Nuclear Fuels plc Sellafield that some workers are avoiding proper radiological monitoring procedures at Sellafield.

The issues referred to in the nuclear installations inspectorate's report, concern worker safety and are a matter for that inspectorate. Since these working practices have no waste management implications, my Department has no regulatory responsibility.
