§ Mr. Spearing

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what consultation has occurred between the members of the Western European Union and those members of the European Economic Community, who are not members of the Union, concerning the conclusion of paragraph 2 of the Union's adopted document, "Platform of European Security Interests", which states that Union members are convinced that the construction of an integrated Europe will remain incomplete as long as it does not include security and defence.
