HC Deb 19 October 1988 vol 138 c950W
Mr. Onslow

To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster further to the answer of 29 April 1988,Official Report, column 287, what further steps have been taken, to ease the current restrictions placed by HM Customs on the temporary export of personal computers by British business men; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Alan Clark

The arrangements described in my answer of 29 April,Official Report column 287, eased the burden on business men visiting most free world countries. For destinations not covered by those arrangements my Department will consider applications for temporary export licences for multiple use.

I have arranged for copies of the press notice announcing the measures to be placed in the Library of the House.
