To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland (1) if he will list the reasons for refusal in respect of improvement grants in each year from 1980–81 to 1987–88, and from 1 April 1988 to 30 April 1988 at(a) Lisburn and (b) Newry office;

(2) how many applications for improvement grants have been (a) made and (b) rejected in each year from 1980–81 to 1987–88 and from 1 April 1988 to 30 September 1988 at (a) Lisburn and (b) Newry office.
