§ Mr. NeedhamThe Department recently approved proposals from the Housing Executive for increased payments from 1 May 1989 to tenants displaced because of rehabilitation works. I understand that the Housing Executive also intends to increase other payments to tenants which do not require the Department's approval, for example, redecoration grants. All the Housing Executive's proposals are subject to the implementation of a revised tenancy agreement and I have asked the chairman to write to the hon. Member with full details of the position.
