To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what contribution his Department made to the week of action on lead pollution.

National lead-free petrol week, which I launched on 28 October, is part of the information campaign supported by a DoE special grant and run by CLEAR charitable trust. I refer the hon. Member to the reply I today gave to my hon. Friend the Member for Cambridgeshire, South-West (Sir A. Grant) for details of the other actions the Department has taken to promote the use of unleaded petrol.
