HC Deb 26 May 1988 vol 134 c261W
Dr. David Clark

To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will outline the remit of his Ministry's review into the Agricultural Development Advisory Service charges; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Donald Thompson

My right hon. Friend has asked senior officials concerned in this Department to complete before summer a review of the first year's experience of ADAS charging, including demand for all categories of ADAS services, the costs of providing such services in relation to the results of the first year of charging and the lessons to be drawn from this experience. Staff and trade union representatives have been informed of the review and will be consulted on the implementation of any follow-up measures of concern to them.
