To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will give the reasons for the delay in putting up a notice giving an emergency telephone number to contact in the event of emergency cleaning being required in the gentleman's toilets off the Committee Room Corridor, and all other toilets in the House.

Following the Accommodation and Administration Sub-Committee's resolution on 23 March that the signs should be placed in the lavatories the work has been accepted as a late addition to the Parliamentary Works Offices summer recess works programme. There has been no undue delay.
