HC Deb 19 May 1988 vol 133 c525W
Mr. Ron Davies

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will make a statement concerning the pollution of the River Rhymney, Mid Glamorgan, on the morning of 16 May.

Mr. Grist

Welsh Office officials have been advised by the Welsh water authority of the incident in which a small number of fish died. The authority's tracing of the source of the pollution may result in its taking legal action, and in these circumstances it would not be reasonable for me to comment.
