To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will authorise a rise in the police establishment in Cheshire.

As my right hon. Friend announced yesterday in reply to a question from my hon. Friend the Member for Crawley (Mr. Soames), at columns 466–67, he has approved 15 posts for the Cheshire constabulary with effect from 1 June 1988.
