To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science when he expects the European Community survey on pay and conditions for teachers in the European Community countries to be published.

We understand that the European Commission will shortly be distributing copies of this survey to HMSO bookshops.

To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science what representations he has received on the report of the interim advisory committee on teachers' pay and conditions; and if he will make a statement.
