§ Ms. MowlamTo ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will provide figures for 1985 to the most recent date for which information is available for(a) the number of arrests for kerb crawling under the Sexual Offences Act 1985 in the metropolitan area as recorded in Metropolitan police figures and (b) the number of prosecutions for kerb crawling under the Sexual Offences Act 1985 in the metropolitan area, as recorded in Metropolitan police figures.
§ Mr. Douglas HoggThe information available to me, which may be incomplete, shows no prosecutions in 1985 and four in 1986 in the Metropolitan police district under section 1 of the Sexual Offences Act 1985. There is no power of arrest under the Act.
