To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services, further to the answer to the hon. Member for Holborn and St. Pancras on 3 May,Official Report, column 350, what is Her Majesty's Government's policy towards seeking private contributions towards the capital costs of National Health Service hospitals.

As my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister said in her reply to the hon. Member, we welcome the support for the health services provided in a number of ways by such private contributions.
