§ Mr. MaudeOn 23 March my Department circulated revised draft regulations which simplify and clarify the existing provisions of the Consumer Credit (Advertisements) Regulations and contain important additional safeguards for borrowers, particularly in the area of secured lending. Comments on the draft regulations have been requested by 20 May 1988.
