To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster what progress has been made in the relocation out of London of offices under his Department's control since 1979.

My Department is making good progress. Some 50 per cent. of the Department is already outside London and plans to relocate at least a further 1,600 posts in the period 1987–91 are being implemented.
