To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster what progress he has made on the introduction of managed workshops.

To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster when he expects to announce the completion of the first managed workshop.

We are inviting companies to "adopt" workshops in inner city areas by investing directly in the projects or by providing land, buildings or experienced managers to give business support on site. English Estates is looking for as much private sector involvement as possible and is currently investigating around a dozen projects in a variety of locations. The first project is expected to be ready for occupation early in 1989.
