§ Mr. MellorMy right hon. and learned Friend had a recent opportunity to raise the non-proliferation treaty with the Israeli Government. But, at his request the Permanent Under-Secretary at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office did so on 22 October 1987 with the political director of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
