§ Mr. KeyTo ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether he is now in a position to announce the details of the inquiry he has decided to set up into discipline in schools.
§ Mr. Kenneth Baker[pursuant to his reply, 18 March 1988, c. 687]: I have appointed two further members to the committee of inquiry:
Mrs. Colette Thomson, a former member of the England netball team, and now a mathematics teacher at Alderbrook school, west midlands; and following consultation with my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Wales, Mrs. Glenda Thomas, head teacher of Blaencaerau junior school, Maesteg, Mid-Glamorgan.These appointments complete the membership. My intention is that the committee should start its work as soon as possible and aim to report by the end of the year.
