§ Mr. Douglas HoggWe are concerned about any unnecessary suffering which is caused to domestic animals. However, existing legislation — in particular the Dogs Act 1871, the Town Police Clauses Act 1847. the Metropolitan Police Act 1839—provides for the control of dangerous dogs. We have no plan to introduce further measures.
