To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what percentage of work in the services to be put to compulsory tender he estimates will remain in-house once the Local Government Bill becomes law, in(a) Scotland and (b) England and Wales.

There is no way of predicting who will be successful in competition. My Department has therefore made no such estimates.
