To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will make a statement on the future work of the agricultural advisory services.

§ Mr. Donald Thompson
The advisory and R and D work undertaken by the Agricultural Development and Advisory Service (ADAS) is described under programmes 46 to 48 of the annual publication "Ministerial Information in MAFF (MINIM) which also gives details of ADAS contributions to other MAFF programmes. A copy of the most recent publication covering the period 1986–87 to 1988–89 is in the Library of the House.
