To ask the Secretary of State for Energy (1) when he proposes to announce his decision on the bids to purchase Connah's Quay power station; and if he will make a statement;

(2) if he will make it his policy to allow Alyn and Deeside district council to acquire Connah's Quay power station site for economic, environmental and social development; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Michael Spicer

The disposal of Connah's Quay power station is a commercial matter for the CEGB.
