HC Deb 20 June 1988 vol 135 cc416-7W
Mr. Charles Wardle

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a further statement of Her Majesty's Government's latest assessment of relations with Israel and on its policy towards the Palestine Liberation Organisation.

Mr. Adley

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what representations he has made to the Israeli Government about recent Mossad activities in the United Kingdom; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Eggar

Following the trial and conviction of Ismail Sowan, the Israeli ambassador was informed on 17 June that a member of his diplomatic staff must leave the country by the end of this month. Additionally, the Home Secretary is requiring the departure from Britain by the end of the month of a staff member currently serving in the PLO office in London.

We will not tolerate the export to Britain of middle eastern feuds and violence.
