(3) on what date advance notice of Exercise Tristar was given to hon. Members in constituencies to be affected by the exercise.
Mr. StewartI refer the hon. Member to the reply which I gave to the hon. Member for Carrick, Cumnock and Doon Valley (Mr. Foulkes) on 13 June.
It is not our normal practice to inform hon. Members about routine training exercises as small as Exercise Tristar 88 which are unlikely to cause any disruption to members of the public, nor to inform the media that such exercises are taking place.
