To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will make a statement on how much surplus land is owned by South West Thames regional health authority; how much has been disposed of during the last five years; and what disposal plans it has for the future.

Mrs. Currie

The South West Thames regional health authority held 130 acres of land on 21 March 1987, comprising sites exceeding one acre which had been declared surplus. Disposals during the last five years were as follows:

During the 1988–89 financial year the Regional Health Authority anticipates disposal of about 100 acres of land.
