HC Deb 07 June 1988 vol 134 c573W
Mr. Tom Clarke

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services, pursuant to the reply to the hon. Member for Caernarfon (Mr. Wigley) of 19 May,Official Report, column 559, why no formal meetings have taken place since October 1987 with local authority associations on the implementation of the Disabled Persons (Services Representation and Consultation) Act 1986; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Scott

Since October 1987 much work has been done on the Act which has not required formal meetings. We are now, however, in touch with the associations to arrange a further meeting.
