To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will establish a committee to inquire into the implications of the advent of the Government data network, the enhanced police national computer network and the community charge for the Data Protection Act; whether he will call for a special report from the Data Protection Registrar concerning these issues; and if he will make a statement.
