HL Deb 06 June 1988 vol 497 c1224WA
Lord Colwyn

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether any changes are proposed to the fees charged for entry visas, entry certificates and entry permits.

Lord Glenarthur

Revised fees are to be introduced along with a new category of entry clearance (double entry), with effect from 1st June 1988. The charges were approved by the Privy Council on 25th May. The principal fees will be as follows:

Single entry clearance £20 (no change)
Double entry clearance £30 (new category)
Multi entry clearance £44 (£40)
Settlement and other long-term entry clearances £60 (£50)

The last fee has been non-refundable since 1st January 1986. All entry clearance fees will be nonrefundable from 1st June 1988. From the same date fees will be charged on a per capita, not per passport, basis.
