Mr. Simon Hughes

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment (1) if, in respect of the application by the London borough of Tower Hamlets for disposal consent for Selby street, he will give the reasons for the delay between receipt by his Department of the application on 3 May and the request by the Department for additional information of 17 June; and if there is any necessary information which has still not been made available to the Department;

(2) if, in relation to the application by the London borough of Tower Hamlets for disposal consent for Masthouse terrace, he will give the reasons for (a) the delay between receipt by his Department of the application on 7 December 1987 and the request by the Department for additional information of 13 April and (b) for two separate requests for additional information having been made by the Department on 13 April and 20 May; and if there is any necessary information which has still not been made available to the Department;

(3) if, in relation to the application by the London borough of Tower Hamlets for disposal consent for the Hadrian estate, he will give the reasons for the delay between receipt by his Department of the application on 23 February and the request by the Department for additional information of 4 July; and if there is any necessary information which has still not been made available to the Department;

(4) if, in relation to the application by the London borough of Tower Hamlets for disposal consent for Glenaffric avenue, he will give the reasons for his Department not having responded to the application since the council provided on 4 February all outstanding information requested by the Department; and if there is any necessary information which has still not been made available to the Department;

(5) pursuant to the answer of Monday 25 July to the hon. Member for Southwark and Bermondsey, if he will list in relation to each of the outstanding applications for disposal consent from the London borough of Tower Hamlets (a) the names of all outside bodies from whom at any time since receipt of each application necessary information has not been available to his Department, (b) the items of necessary information which at any time since receipt of each application have not been available from outside bodies and (c) the dates on which outstanding necessary items of information have been provided by outside bodies to his Department.
