HC Deb 25 July 1988 vol 138 c17W
Mr. Atkinson

To ask the Attorney-General if the Lord Chancellor now plans to implement the recommendations of the Pearson commission on civil liability and compensation for personal injury or to act on its conclusions; and if he will make a statement.

The Attorney-General

In its report in 1978 the Pearson commission made 188 specific recommendations, falling under 16 broad headings. Many recommendations which called for positive steps to be taken have already been implemented or are in the course of implementation. Certain others remain under review.
