To ask the Attorney-General what representations the Lord Chancellor has received regarding the administration of the laws relating to the protection of dogs and cats who are beneficiaries of a will.

The Lord Chancellor received last week a representation relating to a Yorkshire terrier for whose maintenance the owner had made provision by will.

To ask the Attorney-General if he will review the existing laws regarding protection for animal beneficiaries of a vvill.

Any questions of a reform of the law in this area is a matter for my right hon. and noble Friend the Lord Chancellor, who has no present proposals for such a reform.
