Mr. Corbett

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what measures are being taken to monitor compliance with article 6 of EEC regulation 3626/82 in the United Kingdom, and to enforce the provisions of this article.

Mr. Moynihan

The Department has issued advice on article 6 sale controls in its "Supplementary Notice to Importers and Exporters No. 6" and looks into any cases brought to its attention. Where appropriate the relevant enforcement agency will be advised.

Mr. Corbett

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment how many alleged infractions of article 6 of EEC Regulations 3626/82 have been drawn to the attention of his Department; and what were the results of investigations of these cases.
