§ Mr. Sackville
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether any new appointment has been made to the Police Complaints Authority.

§ Mr. Hurd
Mr. Peter W. Moorhouse has accepted my invitation to serve as a member of the authority. He will take up his post on 25 July.
This appointment is being made to fill one of the vacancies created by the expiry of the terms of appointment of two authority members on 28 April. I hope to announce the further appointment shortly.
