HC Deb 20 July 1988 vol 137 cc677-8W
28. Mr. Spearing

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make a statement concerning any planning application for test flights or full-scale commercial flights of jet aircraft to or from London City airport.

Mr. Trippier

As set out in my answer of 8 July, planning permission was granted by the London Docklands development corporation on 5 July allowing the London City airport to be used on three days for demonstration flights by British Aerospace 146 aircraft. The corporation has not received planning applications to use the airport for commercial flights by the BAE 146 or other jet aircraft.
