HC Deb 20 July 1988 vol 137 c656W
Mr. Andrew Mitchell

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will identify the average per capita cost to(a) the hospital and community health services, (b) the family practitioner service and (c) personal social services of (i) 0–20 year olds, (ii) 20–64 year olds, (iii) 64–75 year olds and (iv) 75 year olds and above.

Mr. Newton

Estimates of gross current expenditure per head of population on(a) the hospital and community health services, (b) the family practitioner service and (c) personal social services for 1985–86 are shown in the table. I regret that the age breakdown which is routinely available does not exactly match that requested.
