§ Dr. MawhinneyMy right hon. Friend, the Secretary of State, and I have met representatives of the four main Churches. Our discussions ranged across the proposals contained in the consultative document including the place of religious education in the curriculum. The Church representatives have been assured, as has the House, that no decisions have yet been taken on the way forward on any aspect of the education reform proposals, nor will they be until all representations have been fully considered.
