§ Mrs. CurrieImplementation of the programme continues to make good progress. Information held centrally shows that there are currently 504 health building schemes, each costing over £1 million, at various stages of planning, design and construction. During the last year an additional 62 building schemes were completed at locations throughout the country. These new facilities are providing a better health care environment for patients and more attractive and productive working conditions for staff.

§ Mrs. CurrieInformation held centrally shows that 316 health building schemes, each costing over £1 million, have been completed since 1979. In addition, there are some 370 schemes currently in planning or design which are forecast to start construction as part of a ten-year rolling programme. New schemes are continually being added to this programme.
