To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services what representations he has received on fixed heating charges; and if he will make a statement.

We have received representations, including some from my hon. Friend, about some households receiving income support who experienced a cash reduction in housing benefit as a result of changes in the rules applying to fixed heating charges. Income support recipients in vulnerable groups can apply for transitional payments from the Glasgow unit.
